Six Day Intensive Equine Sportsmassage
Program
Wilson Meagher Sports Therapy and the
Downeast School of Massage have joined together to proudly present
a new program of study in equine sports massage therapy.
"Practitioner of Technical Skills in Equine Sportsmassage"
is designed to train participants who work, or have worked professionally,
within various components of the equine industry, for example
grooms, barn managers, massage therapists, chiropractors,
etc.

Hands On Equine Sportsmassage Workshop for HORSE OWNERS,
RIDERS, AND COLLEGE STUDENTS taught by Jo-Ann Wilson - dates
to be announced.
Participate in an Equine Sportsmassage
Hands On Workshop for horse owners, riders, trainers, professionals
taught by Jo-Ann Wilson. This fun and comprehensive one-day
workshop offers the participant a technique used in the profound
Wilson Meagher Method to eliminate muscle tightness contributing
to resistance and problems in motion and performance. Participants
will develop an eye for limitations in motion and muscle tightness
by watching horses move. Participants will assess and determine
a strengthening program if necessary, and identify causes of
the muscle tightness. Join others in receiving the fun, success,
and acquisition of a new skill by working on horses at the workshop
under Jo-Ann’s teaching.

Jo-Ann
was honored to work as the Olympic Team Sports Therapist
for the United States 3 Day Eventing Team, winners of
the Individual Bronze Medal. “I am proud of the entire
Team including the USEF support staff, rider’s, grooms,
and horses for their performance leading up to the Games
as well during the Olympics in Rio. Tenacity, determination,
passion, trust, athleticism, power, inspiration, fearlessness,
and an infinity of fortitude are all the characteristics
of these Olympic Riders.”

Eventing Team wins both Team and Individual Gold Medals!
JoAnn worked as the sports therapist for the USA Eventing
Team for both horses and riders at the Pan AM Games
2015.

Team, JoAnn provided daily support to both horses and riders
who completed the competition at WEG. Eventing occurred from
August 28th to August 31st, 2014.
